Cloud Storage Terms

Effective Date: 11 May 2026

These Cloud Storage Terms govern the storage of your digital identity records and related data within the Helium ID platform. By using Helium ID to store your information, you agree to the following terms.

1. Digital Identity Storage

Helium ID allows users to securely store digital identity records and verified information within our platform. Please note that while we provide secure digital storage, users remain responsible for complying with any laws or regulations requiring the possession or presentation of physical identity documents.

2. Cloud Infrastructure & Service Providers

To provide reliable and secure storage, Helium ID utilizes third-party cloud hosting providers, infrastructure partners, and database providers.

  • These providers process and store information only for authorized operational purposes under contractual confidentiality obligations.
  • Your information may be processed or stored in countries outside your country of residence where our service providers or infrastructure providers operate. We take reasonable measures to ensure appropriate protection of transferred information.

3. Security & Data Protection

Helium ID uses multiple security controls designed to protect sensitive identity information stored in our cloud infrastructure, including:

  • Encryption: All stored data is protected by encryption at rest, and all data transfers are protected by encryption in transit.
  • Infrastructure Security: We utilize secure cloud infrastructure, database protection, backup management, and continuous server monitoring.
  • Access Controls: We enforce restricted employee access, robust authentication controls, and role-based permissions to prevent unauthorized access to stored data.

4. Backups & Data Recovery

To ensure data integrity and platform reliability, Helium ID maintains encrypted backups of stored data. In the event of a deletion request, deleted information may temporarily remain in these encrypted backups for operational recovery purposes before permanent removal.

5. Limitation of Liability

While we implement robust security measures, no internet-based system or cloud storage solution can be guaranteed to be completely secure. To the extent permitted by law, Helium ID shall not be liable for:

  • outages or service interruptions,
  • verification failures caused by third-party systems,
  • unauthorized user actions,
  • or losses arising from external cloud or infrastructure service providers.
